1. Shipping Coverage

Apex Container Group ships new, used, and custom-modified shipping containers to the following regions:

  • United States: All 48 continental states. We currently do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories unless arranged by special request and quoted separately.
  • European Union: All 27 EU member states, including France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, and all others.
  • Other International: Delivery to non-EU countries (United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, etc.) may be available on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for a custom international shipping quote.

3. Delivery Methods

We offer three delivery methods depending on your container size, site conditions, and preferences:

Tilt-Bed Truck

The most common and cost-effective delivery method. The container slides off the back of the truck directly onto your prepared surface.

4. Delivery Timelines

Delivery timelines are estimated from the date of order confirmation and full payment receipt. Actual delivery times depend on your location relative to our nearest depot, container availability, and any custom modifications requested.

Custom-modified containers (offices, kiosks, pools, homes, etc.) require additional fabrication time. Timelines depend on the scope of modifications. We provide a detailed production schedule with every custom quote, and you'll receive progress updates throughout the build.

All delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. While we make every effort to meet quoted timelines, delays may occur due to weather conditions, road closures, port congestion, customs processing, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you promptly of any significant delays and provide updated delivery estimates.

5. Delivery Costs

Delivery costs vary based on the following factors:

  • Distance: The distance from our nearest depot to your delivery address is the primary cost factor.
  • Container Size: Larger containers (40ft, 45ft) cost more to transport than smaller units (10ft, 20ft).
  • Delivery Method: Tilt-bed delivery is the most affordable. Crane delivery incurs an additional fee ($300–$800 depending on location).
  • Accessibility: Sites that require special routing, permits, or pilot cars may incur additional charges.
  • Region: EU delivery costs are quoted individually based on destination country and port of origin.

6. Site Requirements

The customer is responsible for ensuring the delivery site meets the following requirements. Failure to prepare the site may result in the driver being unable to deliver, and a re-delivery fee may apply.

6.1 Site Preparation Checklist

  • Level Surface: The drop area must be flat and level. Gravel, concrete, asphalt, or compacted earth are ideal surfaces. Avoid soft or muddy ground.
  • Clearance (Tilt-Bed): Minimum 70 feet of straight clearance from the drop point for the truck to back in and tilt the container off.
  • Clearance (Crane): Adequate overhead clearance — no power lines, tree branches, or overhanging structures above the drop zone.
  • Width: The access road and entry to the site must be at least 12 feet wide to accommodate a delivery truck.
  • Weight Capacity: The surface must support the weight of the loaded delivery truck (up to 80,000 lbs gross vehicle weight).
  • Permits: The customer is responsible for obtaining any local permits required for container placement (zoning, building, HOA, etc.).

⚠️ Failed Delivery Attempts

If the delivery driver arrives and cannot safely deliver the container due to site access issues, unprepared surface, or obstructions, a failed delivery fee of $250–$500 may apply, plus the cost of rescheduling. We provide a detailed site preparation guide with every order confirmation to help you avoid this.

6.2 Placement Responsibility

The delivery driver will place the container as close to your desired location as safely possible. However, exact placement cannot always be guaranteed with tilt-bed delivery due to ground conditions and site constraints. If you require precise placement, we recommend crane delivery.

Once the container is placed, the customer is responsible for any subsequent movement or repositioning. We can arrange crane services for repositioning at an additional cost.

7. Delivery Process

Here's what to expect from order to delivery:

Once payment is received, your order is confirmed and you'll receive an email with your order details, delivery estimate, and site preparation guide.

Dispatch Scheduled

Your container is assigned to the nearest depot. Our logistics team schedules the delivery truck and confirms a delivery window (typically a 2–3 day window).

Driver Contacts You

The delivery driver will call you 24–48 hours before arrival to confirm the delivery date and time, and to verify site access and placement instructions.

Delivery & Placement

The driver delivers and places the container at your designated location. You (or your representative) should be present to direct placement and inspect the container.

Inspect & Accept

Inspect the container upon delivery. If you identify any issues that don't match the description, note them with the driver and contact us within 48 hours.

You're All Set

Once you're satisfied with the delivery, the container is yours. Our 30-day satisfaction guarantee covers any undisclosed defects discovered after delivery.

8. Risk of Loss & Insurance

Containers are insured by Apex Container Group during transit from our depot to your delivery site. Our transit insurance covers:

  • Damage During Transport: Any physical damage that occurs while the container is in transit on our truck is fully covered.
  • Loss During Transport: In the unlikely event of total loss during transit (accident, theft, etc.), we will replace the container or issue a full refund.
  • Delivery Damage: If the container is damaged during the placement/offloading process by our driver, we are responsible for repair or replacement.

📋 Transfer of Risk

Risk of loss or damage transfers from Apex Container Group to the buyer at the moment the container is successfully placed at the designated delivery site and the delivery driver departs. After this point, the buyer is responsible for insuring the container against damage, theft, or natural disasters.

9. EU Shipping & Customs

For orders delivered to European Union member states, the following additional terms apply:

  • Customs Clearance: Apex Container Group coordinates customs clearance through our EU logistics partners. We handle all export documentation from the U.S. side.
  • Import Duties & VAT: Import duties, Value Added Tax (VAT), and any customs fees imposed by the destination country are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in our quoted prices.
  • Delivery to Door: EU deliveries include transport from the port of arrival to your specified delivery address within the EU member state.
  • Customs Delays: Customs processing times vary by country and may add 3–10 business days to the estimated delivery timeline. We will keep you informed of any customs-related delays.
  • Documentation: We provide all required shipping documents including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin.

⚠️ EU Buyer Responsibility

EU buyers are responsible for understanding and paying all import duties, VAT, and local taxes applicable in their country. These fees vary by country and are not controlled by Apex Container Group. We recommend consulting with a local customs broker if you are unsure about import fees for your country.

10. Expedited Shipping

If you need your container faster than standard delivery timelines, we offer expedited shipping for an additional fee:

11. Order Tracking

We keep you informed at every stage of the delivery process:

  • Order Confirmation Email: Sent immediately upon payment with order details, delivery estimate, and site preparation guide.
  • Dispatch Notification: Sent when your container leaves the depot, including driver contact information and estimated arrival window.
  • Driver Call-Ahead: Your delivery driver will call 24–48 hours before arrival to confirm timing and site access.
  • Delivery Confirmation: Email confirmation sent after successful delivery with a record of the delivery for your files.

12. Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries

If your container arrives damaged in transit or does not match the description provided at the time of purchase:

  • Report Within 48 Hours: Notify us within 48 hours of delivery by calling +1 501-550-2221 or emailing support@apexcontainergroup.com.
  • Provide Photo Documentation: Take clear photos of the damage or discrepancy and send them to our support team.
  • Note with Driver: If possible, note any visible damage with the delivery driver at the time of delivery before they depart.
  • Resolution: We will file a freight claim (if applicable) and arrange for a repair, replacement, or full refund at no cost to you.

13. Self-Pickup Terms

If you choose to pick up your container from one of our depot locations:

  • Scheduling: Contact us to schedule a pickup date and time. Depot hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM local time.
  • Identification: Bring a valid photo ID and your order confirmation to the depot.
  • Inspection: You may inspect the container at the depot before loading. Once you accept and load the container, it is your responsibility.
  • Transport: You are responsible for providing an appropriate truck, trailer, or chassis for transport. Our depot staff can assist with loading using on-site equipment.
  • Pickup Window: Containers must be picked up within 14 calendar days of order confirmation. After 14 days, a storage fee of $25/day applies.
  • Risk Transfer: Risk of loss transfers to you at the moment the container is loaded onto your transport vehicle at the depot.
